Cannot Decompress Frame 0 Error

Post by dowhatnow » Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:14 pm

I've exported my video in uncompressed, and this is the error I get, no matter what I try to open it with. Has this happened to anyone else before? Help?

Yep. I'm assuming your using Premiere right? Try the "none" option, or like use the 8bit uncompressed.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

But in the mean time, I've exported in Lagarith, and I end up with junk frames (same with HuffYUV). Not only that, but the playback is erratic, and cuts out just before the end of the clip. Despite all this, I tried to encode in Zarx264, and I end up with the error:
CAVIStreamSynth: System exception - Access Violation at 0x0, reading from 0x0
What's all this about?

Premiere hates exporting with lagarith/huffy. It's common, so like yeah, "none" and uncompressed are your best shots.

Have you made sure to check the "Recompress" option in the export settings and set it to "Always"?

Also, using the DebugMode Frameserver to have another program (say, VirtualDub(/Mod)) do the actual encoding is another good way to go if you don't like the idea of huge uncompressed RGB files.

Recompress = Always = Check.

And as far as DebugMode Frameserver, I've tried that (using network frameserving), but with no success. But then again, maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Yep. I was doing it wrong. Silly me for not making a .avs file for the signpost .avi.

Thanks for the help guys.
