You see a few of these threads here and there, as well as in video descriptions....why.
I for one can't stand them, and they don't make me want to watch the video because (and I'll borrow from Godix) they suck (okay, he would have been a bit more colorful there). Why? Well because they send the preconceived idea that:
a) no thought went into them
b) it was made in an afternoon
c) LP is probably in the description
d) the footage is downloaded and crappy
e) All of the above
e) is probably a safe guess in most circumstances.
I've yet to watch a video that states this....
I'm not meaning to be pretentious, but they really get my goat, as well as the cow, chicken and hamster. I'd rather watch a video that shows the editor took care in making the video. Even with a first time editor, the care they took shows through.
So how do you all feel about this statement in a thread, or even a video description?
Have you ever done this? Why?
