Perhaps a wrong choice of words. Rather then enjoying I would say dwelling.

yes, don't dwell on a project for an excessive amount of time, that could really impede your progress in general.

Most editors will probably never be shot in the face so the heading is actually probably "You can't always get what you want but it's illegal to give you what you need."
