Mainly for unlicensed anime, I haven't watched much licensed anime lately. And I can't go out and buy 18+ visual novel games from the stores, or even online. Too young. Music.... well who cares (rhetorical). Movies, I actually do buy em' it was just an example. My computer can't burn blu-ray after all. To be fair, hasteroth does have a point. It is easier to download than to go to the store and buy dvds. (or to wait several days / weeks for dvds to be shipped in). Of course, the industry is moving in the direction of easy downloads to cater to lazy people. iTunes is about as easy to use as Napster was, and even if it is a $1 per song, people prefer iTunes. I believe it's more of a public disturbance matter than a copyright matter. I'd always been taught to keep the music down even before copyrights came into question (afaik, since the mid 90's is when I first heard a rule like this) Now obviously it's become much stricter, but the root is public disturbance, copyright infringement would be a much weaker angle to take.BasharOfTheAges wrote:In England they have ruled in the opposite manner.
