Problems Rendering to AVI and WMV in Sony Vegas 8.0 Pro

Every time I try to render my video to .wmv it stops at 8% and says an error has occured, then vegas closes by itself. So I tried rendering it to .avi and it says an unknown error has occurred. Please help me x___x

well theres your problem wmv is a lossy codec, you shouldnt improt lossy coded clips, and for the output, try rendering clips lossless when exporting them from vegas, then well use virtualdub or somthing else to make your final lossy video.
