Ga-Rei Zero - The Lost Paradise

Post by glowie » Tue Mar 10, 2009 11:11 pm

Hi ppl,

I've been toying with the idea of making an AMV for awhile now but have yet to come across an anime that can move me enough to do it. (Trust me... I'm heavy like that)
I'm really glad I finally did it. :)

My motivation for making this AMV is to introduce this great anime to my friends. I hope I am successful in bringing out the feel of the anime without giving away too much of the plot. Please feel free to give me your feedback and suggestions. Thanks!

Last but not the least, I want to thank Qyot27. Your step-by-step really saved me a lot of fumbling in the dark. Thanks again! :)

mhmm... It didn´t caught me. :|

I was dissapointed to see a random vid to GRZ
Overall I didn´t felt a connection between the scenes and the music. It didn´t worked for me. Especially when the middle part started wich was weak for me. There was random lipmovement (flaplip) and stuff.

It felt for me like a trailer for the series. Mhmm... Well maybe you see it as a good point, but for me those trailers are pretty "mediocore" for me. They often lag the same connection to the music and that´s why they can hardly transport any feeling or energy to me. The only way to score for them is with shiny pictures and that´s not really what I prefer :|

The amv might not be too good, but it worked out pretty well I guess.

Kudos for the last scene. It nearly felt like a real scene of the anime. I just can´t figure it out why it didn´t do it completly.
Yeah I guess the feel of the anime is alright here. In my opinion you should add Trailer as category of this vid.

Bauzi,
It was intended to be a trailer (I wanted to get my friends to watch the show) but I also wanted to bring out the emotions and conflicts between the 2 main pairs. I originally wanted to include Nori x(romantic) Yomi as well but I couldn't squeeze anymore in. To me, Nori x Yomi x(sisterly) Kagura and (Aoi x) Tooru x Natsuki is what I love most from the series... apart from the awesome action of course. I guess I shouldn't have been greedy and stick to just one pair so I can concentrate and tell a proper story. Thanks for the feedback. I now know better on what makes a good AMV. :)

Ishbalan,
I'm confused about your comment... what do you mean by the opening of the show? Do you mean most of my scenes are from the 1st episode?
