Anime rental and adult videos.

the suncoast i usually go to has the anime dvd section next to tv classics

and for some reason the adult stuff is jammed between the tv and sci fi sections

I've noticed it to.

They either have Sailor Moon or Hentai to rent

so I have to rely on KazAa for my anime.

You're all lucky. You know shops which have an special section for Anime. If I want to buy an Anime I have to go to an Fantasy Bookstore and hope they have an Anime there. I can't rent one because 1. rental stores are very, very rare in my area and 2. they don't have Anime.

Where I live, they took down our Blockbuster cuz of some lawsuit(sp?) but the anime there had its own little section, next to the martial arts...but right behind that was the pr0n section.

Now all I have is this store called Video Warehouse. The only anime they have there is hentai, except 5 or a little more titles....so it's basically surrounded by pr0n. I completely understand that though, seeing how it's mainly pr0n.

My local Sam Goody has the porn DVDs right next to the anime, but Suncoast has a speciaL Anime-only section that shares space with NO ONE!

Guess which one also has the better selection?

Too bad their prices are borderline gouging... (both of them).

There's a couple of anime only shops around my area although usually I've found Best Buy has some nice deals on DVD's and pretty good selection.

I actually work at Hollywood video and our anime section is scarce at best, we dont have adult titles at Hollywood but Movie town which is across the street has the anime right across from the Playboy section.

my anime dvd's from a place called jusco a japanese place it's kinda of hard to go through the dvds and stuff to find the english subtitled ones but it's not close to the hentai though across from it are the comic book hentai

Really? Most of my friends who haven't been converted into anime fans and lots of people in general see anime as cartoon porn. It's sad really, and having anime stocked in or near the adult section doesn't exactly help clear up the misconception.

Anyway, you're lucky because at least the anime there has it's own section. The place I go to near my apartment has the anime scattered about all over the place and it takes forever to find what you're looking for. Ugh.
