Anime Matsuri joins forces with DJ HeavyGrinder to bring a twist to AMV’s
HOUSTON, TX – January 28th, 2009 – DJ HeavyGrinder who is known to fans all over the world has joined forces with Anime Matsuri in presenting a one of a kind Anime Music Video contest just for the fans.
HeavyGrinder and Anime Matsuri are seeking the next great talent in the world of Anime by offering HeavyGrinder’s well-crafted electronic songs as the inspiration for a unique combination of visuals and music.
DJ HeavyGrinder has carefully selected tracks that she hopes will inspire the next great director/creator of Anime videos.
A native of Seattle, HeavyGrinder currently resides in Los Angeles where she is a part time student, and full time DJ. After years of traveling, she made her way to LA in 1998. It was in the City of Angels that she realized her new love, cozying up to the sounds of underground dance music, captivated by the power of the DJ and the reaction of the crowd. HeavyGrinder is capturing the attention of audiences worldwide: Spain ( Ibiza ), Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Mexico have been key international stops for this talent so far. In the Los Angeles club scene alone, she has played at most notable venues including Key Club, Highlands, Century Club, Avalon, Sunset Room and White Lotus. When she’s not playing in her hometown, HG is regularly headlining events across the United States at some of the biggest clubs and has performed in cities from Anchorage to Washington D.C., Atlanta, Honolulu as well as dozens of cities in between.
DJ HeavyGrinder is celebrating the release of her debut album, ETERNITY and the release of her new single, "Chains of Love" on Artists Only/Rhythm Club Records. ETERNITY and HeavyGrinder’s new single are now available in Stores, through Online ordering and through digital download via iTunes Music Store.
HeavyGrinder is now set to appear in Houston, TX on April 10th-12th, 2009 at Anime Matsuri, and as a special bonus for all of her fans worldwide, HeavyGrinder announces an AMV contest for the ages using select tracks from her albums. The rules are these:
Keep it Clean! All AMV’s will be screened prior to judging, keep it PG13.
All submissions are to be uploaded to YouTube and link should be sent to HeavyGrinderAMV@animematsuri.com
Video Format is contestants choice, be aware that they will be viewed directly from the YouTube link provided.
All AMV’s will be evaluated based on the judging panel’s discretion (Panel includes HeavyGrinder herself)
All AMV’s must exclusively utilize the tracks provided for the contest, which can be found at this link: http://www.animematsuri.com/index_html.php?id=4.
Winners for the contest will be announced prior to Anime Matsuri and prizes include autographed memorabilia from HeavyGrinder herself, as well as, airplay on HG’s website. Deadline for submissions is March 31st, 2009.

I'm confused... it says here that those of us who would like to participate in this contest that the videos are to be uploaded here to the org, but in Anime Matsuri's official website it says that the videos are to be uploaded to U-toob (name mispelled on purpose), so I'm not 100% sure of where to upload it, or is it okay if I upload my entry to both websites, just in case?...
Anyways, I'm going to tackle this with an entry of my own, I haven't started and the deadline is in two days now, so this will be quite a challenge
EDIT: Wait... nevermind, I just realized that U-toob's name is automatically changed here for YouTube, and whoever that posted that probably didn't or doesn't realizes that, so now I got the answer to my question
