Offline Media and Such In Sony Vegas (Problem)

Post by ShockyVidZ » Thu Mar 05, 2009 9:39 pm

Hello, for some reason in sony vegas all files are offline (blank on time line) but I can still edit the video (like see in preview and hear song, add effect ect. Anyways this started about 2 days and still happening, I've asked around and no one seems to know the problem so I'm posting and asking for help here. This has never happen before and it's not just happening to one type of file or anime, it's happened with FFAC, DBZ ect. Also any music files I put in the time line, so really everything. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

1/4 of the other side got cut for some reason, but you can see all you need. Like I said its in the preview box and still editable, but on the time line its blank.
Please try to help in anyway, thanks.

Yes, fucking finally, I get to do this.

Basically, you have to encode all your clips to lossless codecs. So the video you are currently editing, yeah, theres no hope for it. :|

Since when in the hell does DivX/XviD cause something like that? Besides, if that was the problem it wouldn't affect his audio file.

Sift through the preferences and see if something got changed so that it doesn't show that kind of stuff. That's all I really know to say. When I get back to my computer that has Vegas, I'll try to poke around and see if I can find anything. I've never seen a problem like that, so I don't really have an answer.
... yea ...

Yea XviD and DivX have never been a problem in Vegas before, but yea I'll look around the preferences, set to default..who knows I could have pressed something. But if anyone else finds something please do tell.
Thanks
