HTML quick buttons for Journal entries
Maybe I haven’t posted in my journal in a while, but for some reason the HTML code to create links and alter fonts (bold/underline/italic) do not work when I post. I used to be able to, my older journal posts have links and I can update my profile with it, so I don’t know why it’s not working now.
Anyway, a thought I had for a long time was why not create HTML buttons for our Journal so it’s easier to make links and highlight text? I don’t know if you can implement such a function like BBCode on the forums, but I think it would be a great improvement for this website.

I was thinking about asking for this too. I think it would be great.

Re: HTML quick buttons for Journal entries
I don't think the journals have ever supported markup. I can try and look at it this weekend.
A little while ago I made links auto-clickable, like phpBB does http://www.blahimalink.com/ , but I'm not sure why it didn't apply to yours.

Your link wasn't made clickable since you pasted a tab before it. I fixed that.rubyeye wrote:Anyway, a thought I had for a long time was why not create HTML buttons for our Journal so it’s easier to make links and highlight text? I also implemented some simple markup bbcode.

Aw, I thought it was a nice addition. One I doubt I'd use very often but a nice one nonetheless.
