Your guide sounds similar to something I've been working on myself. Seriously, I'm writing a guide about all the non-technical aspects of amvs. I even went so far as to not use the word asshole or fuck once in the thing, although it does have my typical 3rd grade grasp of grammar which is one reason I haven't finished it. Anyway, point is, mind if I take a look at what you have? It may inspire me to modify what I'm doing some.

The current form of the guide I was writing is now that of a wiki. Whenever I felt it was complete enough, I was going to make a static version for the org's guide section. If you want I can give you access to edit.

This offer extends to others as well, but keep in mind that ultimately I will decide how to resolve conflicting opinions. If this is not acceptable, you can create your own guide...

MAD - a kind of AMV that was born in Japan, but is more general (pretty often doesn't even work with Anime footage) and nobody is able to specify what makes MAD a MAD today. Probably effect-whoring, being made in Japan and using Visual Novels as source. These might vary, see above about specification.

VN - short for Visual Novel, one of possible sources when making an AMV (because it counts as anime source as long as it has anime-ish visage and was made in Japan).
