The FLCL box set had six AMV's on the extras disc, and they were gord awful. Random clips + music = the taste of bile.

yeah i wont to say that the anime was a new sailor moon that they where coming out with and they made a video for it ..it was awsome because of all the effects that went in to it and the music matched as well.

The original box sets of Fushigi Yuugi had a couple videos on the fourth DVD. I heard those got cut in the single-disk releases, though.

And there were several official videos produced for Vision of Escaflowne, as well.

I´m not a fan of those music videos. I can only remeber crappy ones on my dvds and the anime industry still doesn´t really know how to make decent trailers in my opinion. At least the majority on my dvds suck ass.

Video game companies do this alot (or at least used to...) there was a show on mtv2, mtv mods, that played them. Hadn't seen one in a while, but I'm sure the still do. Of coarse alot of games like the movies and spoor you can pretty much do whatever with anyway...

I'm guessing the companies restrict the use of certain scenes, so the amv's and trailers probably could be better if they wanted them to be.
