I wish I could edit my first post to make the whole "video mixtape" thing more clear...

Multi-Editor Project. The common shorthand for collaborative projects that are usually based around a particular theme and have a fair or large number of editors that work on specific parts of them, or submit videos for inclusion.beehive wrote:And, what is a MEP?
Themes are usually a particular band, or album, or anime series, sometimes holidays or insular studio projects - these tend to be short, typically not longer than 20 mins. Others with more abstract themes (like the Video Game Projects or AMV Hell series) can go for much longer run times and are sometimes referred to as massive MEPs, although that may be more of a circa-2004 term.
*and yes, I know the DDR projects and Animix technically fall into the not-quite-so-abstract section, even though they're all about an hour long.
This forum has a whole section dedicated to the organization and discussion of them, here:

Thanks, I googled for it but couldn't found an explanation as clear is this!Qyot27 wrote:Multi-Editor Project. I personally like to watch stuff like this on my TV, having made myself comfortable on the couch with a white russian, and just press play and chill out for an hour. MEPs seem like the ideal thing for me because they tend to be longer. I guess it has the same appeal as the video mixtapes I was referring to.
So, to be technically correct, I should've asked how people feel about Retard-O-Tron using clips from the AMV Hell MEP

It stood in Kikai´s sig. It´s a real "quote" from a user on YT who searched for the word MEP and who was confused about what the hell the Middle European Parliament has to do with amvs.Megamom wrote:Bauzi wrote:Middle European Parliamentbeehive wrote: And, what is a MEP?
