I'm always happy to help a newcomer if they aren't a complete idiot, and you catalogged the vid so you aren't a complete idiot, I'll edit later with what I think of the vid,

edit: good for a first vid, the only part I had a problem with was the buildup part. It was buildup so you don't want tons of unnecessary things happening during that part, but in this song you needed to have a little more going on to give a better since of the chaotic vibe you were trying to portray.

it was definitely horror-like =P
i'll say my biggest issues with it were quality, and that it seemed to slow down toward the end, so it kind of lost momentum. the laughter right by the end was nice. for a first amv it's pretty good, certainly a lot better than my first amv (which should be shot.) =p

For being your first work in the site I found it pretty well done, the effects at the beginning looked kinda cheap but I'm not anybody to talk you about amazing effects XD. I agree with Animated, Death Note is overused by now so you must show your scenes carefully. At the end it needed more pace and sincying. Overall it was good, but not exactly your first (I saw your profile). Well that's what I found, hope it helps ^o^

yes my first really amv's were a parody on the lord of the rings and bleach ...after that I began to use sony vegas...and this was my first result ^^

I'm also new to AMVs so I know how it feels but I just didn't get this video. I know it's supposed to be a tribute to horror but it felt completely random. Just clips from 3 notoriously violent psychological anime, with some basic effects that only someone on LSD can appreciate. The buildup was good but I could read a thing from the intro. ^_^
