TFM plugin.
We'll i heard from my friend that i should use TFM.
i was wondering if i should. because im really lazii tryin to find right scripts for my dvd's.
this is all my friend uses for his script:
TFM()
Crop(8,0,-8,0)
LanczosResize(848,480)
i was wondering if i should do this. and does anyone know where to download this plugin?

Re: TFM plugin.
here
it's part of the TIVTC package
TFM+TDecimate > Telecide+decimate imo
animeIVTC > TFM+TDecimate (but it's a royal pain to set everything up to get animeIVTC to work, and it's considerably slower than TFM+TDecimate)
although just leaving it as TFM() will probably be ok I'd recommend looking through the documentation (which is very good at explaining what everything is) and specifying a few more parameters (like d2v, pp, slow and a few others)

Re: TFM plugin.
move the dll to the avisynth plugins folder (../program files/avisynth2.5/plugins/)
TFM is one of the first filters you should use in a script (unless you use a filter that specifically needs interlaced footage, like tcomb for rainbow/dotcrawl removal)

Re: TFM plugin.
Okay, I have to jump in here and say: TFM is not one of those filters you can just use on anything.* If by chance your footage is already progressive right off the DVD (it does happen occasionally), you shouldn't use a field matcher like TFM.
* Like, say, Undot -- and even THAT has videos it will wreck: namely, any video containing a dither dissolve.
