Forget my other remark..still a pointless threadguardiansoulblade wrote:I'm not hating people who watch fansubs, I'm hating when they use that footage for AMVs, it's a pain, I can deal with it sometimes, but it seems nobody cares enough to rip the DVD if they have it.
P.S. Please don't get me started on how badly fansubbers butcher translation. They totally translated D-Technolife wrong on Bleach, it's unsingable in their English, the translation is too wordy, even the legit translation's too wordy to be sung in English.
Hwo many peole are sick of AMVs (Not on This Site) With subs

It IS their fault. They didn't bother to use dvd footage and they didn't bother taking the time to eliminate the subs.Vax wrote:Sort of a pointless thread? I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.

I know someone who had subtitles in their video and used Sony Vegas.Vax wrote:Sort of a pointless thread? Some people are obliged to have subtitles in their AMVs due to the fact some of them use wmm. Sure they get annoying but sometimes its not their fault.
But anyway. All subtitles do is let the world know that you downloaded your footage from somewhere. It is especially facepalm worthy when you know for a fact that the DVDs of the said subtitled anime are released.
But yeah... I think this is kinda gonna go nowhere, but we shall see.

x2 you can at least crop them off before you edit if it's that much of an issueGarridy wrote:It IS their fault. I'm perfectly fine with legitimate Subtitles in AMVs, they're unintrusive and at the bottom of the screen with a readable font and you really don't have to think about them. Most fansubs use that STUPID karaoke effect and use a font that is annoying and it's usually an anime that has DVDs out, like FMA, or Bleach or Naruto, although I totally understand Naruto fans for hating the dubs, that English voice actor for the title characters is SCARY HORRIBLE. I would start watching the show if it weren't for that guy, but I don't feel like reading subs on Hulu either.

Viz released Naruto DVDs with both subbed and dubbed, so there is no excuse...

1.Aside from the aforementioned fact that the DVD has subs, the naruto dub's perfectly fine. Seriously, what's wrong with you people, it may not be the next bebop, but it has it pretty good....guardiansoulblade wrote: Naruto fans for hating the dubs, that English voice actor for the title characters is SCARY HORRIBLE. 2. Not to wander outside the bounds of the org here, but why would you stream subs?

In fact, many people watch fansubs because they have karaoke (so they know what the song is about, I do that, f.e.) and nice font (because the DVDs still run on old deffinitions for subs/DVD players and can't afford shiny fonts, might change with BRs, though).guardiansoulblade wrote:Most fansubs use that STUPID karaoke effect and use a font that is annoying and it's usually an anime that has DVDs out, like FMA, or Bleach or Naruto, although I totally understand Naruto fans for hating the dubs, that English voice actor for the title characters is SCARY HORRIBLE.
Also, most of the groups get the fansubs BEFORE the En version is released and they DO please the viewers to delete it (and prefferably get the originals) when the En DVDs are out.
