There really does need to be more WWI games... WWII has been done a lot. I would find it interesting if someone would make a game were you could really experience the trench warfare.

Does the new COD have WWI in it?

Well technically I have two left, getting all the masks and getting the sinister squashling/helm, but as far as Iv'e heard, they're removing the 'masks for all occasions' from the Hallowed title, so I'm only trying for the one. >_>

Step 1: Get large bucket - big enough for your feet.
Step 2: Acquire dirt and place into bucket
Step 3: Acquire water, 2parts to every 1 part dirt, and mix with dirt
Step 4: Insert feet into said bucket, do not remove for months.
Step 5: Sit in the new artillery shell hole - they almost never hit the same place twice.
Step 6: Read your local frontline newspaper Wipers Times.
Step 7: If not already accomplished, fear for your life and reflect on the fact that this is a culmination of the last century's industrial revolution.
Step 8: You have survived far enough to read this, make your demands, and damn the inevitable backlash.

Unfortunately due to how static the western front tended to be I doubt WWI will ever see many infantry games, while the eastern front is unlikely to get it's own focus. Trench warfare can be interesting, but it probably needs to be worked into a greater scheme to make sure that non-grogs will buy it.

Nah, what we really need is a sandbox-style game about WWI. Like the Sims, but instead of raising families and building houses, you maintain a unit of soldiers and build trenches. You have individual personalities and they all have their own roles and abilities you need to develop. And then it gets all poignant when they keep dying, and sad music plays in the background.
As an added twist, you wouldn't be able to win or lose the game. Even if gas attacks wipe out all your soldiers, or you kill all enemy soldiers, new ones shop up pretty much right away to bury the corpses and continue the work.

Man, how do I market this concept to a game studio now?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Mmk. So Mother 3 isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The plot finally kick started itself (the was the longest damn prologe I've ever played in a game), and things are finally getting interesting.

Plot is still too emo though. >_>
