Anime Banzai 2008 AMV Contest Winners

I must thank all the people who entered this years contest. I had an overwhelming response from the AMV community in response for entries.

For prizes this year I will be awarding a Anime Banzai printed directors chair to Best of Show and animation cells with our conventions mascots.
The cells where drawn by local artist Chris Davis and painted by local artist Cheri Whimmer. Several color variants where also painted by Chris and will be randomly assigned to a prize category.
I'm also happy to announce that each cell will include a cell with autographs by the artists and our guests Vic Mignogna, Tiffany Grant and Sonny Strait.
The final prize is something I do on my own, its cool I promise! Each year I make a DVD with previous AMV contest winners and a bunch of my favorites. This year's DVD has 2006's winners, (I know I'm behind), and a bunch of other AMV's. I plan on doing this each year from now on as a special prize. (If you are a 2006 winner I plan on sending you a DVD, I just need to get updated shipping from you all)

Although it doesn't look like it, the contest was close in most categories. All categories except Otaku Award and Shiroto Award are audience vote. For Editors Choice, AMV Contest entrants who attend the con are given a different ballot.

Sweetness! Congrats Kaz and Nighthawk! (And of course, all of the winners!) I'll have to check out the winners that I am not familair with.

Though I didn't win and I didnt get to go to the con, somehow it was still a fun exprience and it was great to even be in at all! hope to enter again next year, maybe even attend!

I know the feeling...just knowing your vid played on the big screen is enough to make anyone feel proud and have fun.
