I'm seriously confused about the whole AR thing after reading the posts several times. I'm using a Widescreen source. Should I edit it widescreen at something like 720x360 or 768x432 or make it full with letterboxing. If native resolution is what DGIndex says It is 720x480 but the source is anamorphic so it will be squished.
I'm leaning towards making it widescreen for the judges and then having it get letterboxed for the final version.

If by anamorphic you mean normal 16:9, then go with 848x480. If by anamorphic you mean the ultrawide AR (the one wider than 16:9, like in animatrix or hollywood movies, for instance), then go with 1024x480.Krisqo wrote:I'm seriously confused about the whole AR thing after reading the posts several times. Keep in mind that you edit in what YOU want to edit with. If the thing turns out to be a 4:3 AR, then I'll letterbox your video for you. Right now, I'm seeing 3 videos 4:3 to 2 videos 16:9. Whichever has more is the AR we're going with. :O
