Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Here's my opinion.

1) Wrong aspect ratio. Haruhi is 16:9.

2) Video quality needs work. Too blurry.

3) Masking needed soem serious work.

4) Interesting premise and song choice. Had it been better executed in technical department, it woudl have been really nice.

5) Images imports like the TV and other were really poor quality, and took away from the video's impact.

6) There's too much going on in this video. Too many advertisements and too many effects. The 3D motion effects espectially. To see how high quality amounts of advertisements/posters/whatever and implementing them, I'd watch this.

7) Keep at it. While the technical department was a little underworked and the effects department was a little overworked, you still had a very gutsy first after-effects AMV. Watch more videos around here and look and see at the quality that they have, and try to buff it up technically and bump it down effects-wise.

Keep at it. :O

Haruhi. A dance/fun amv? This is so furiously original that I simply have to download.

Code pretty much transcribed what I was thinking.

To be fair: It's still a lot better than my first video, and it's not bad at all for a first video in general. Just keep working at it, and you'll be improving in no time.

yea, Haruhi is realy 16:9, 4:3 looks so noobish :S
I also do not realy like the effcts. Sometimes it looks childish (yes i know haruhi is also childish and sexy :3)
Good ps using although it wanst really good looking
and the output quality is terrible.

Wasnt a "punch in my face" Haruhi AMV :?

I thought you got the "flow" of your amv to go pretty well with the song you chose. Try and fix some of the things that Code mentioned and you'l be makin some sexy stuff.
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.
I'm just that kind of person. - Sousuke Sagara
