Scary? That is a tamed-down picture. The one I made originally had a bloody smiley face on the carton, but I backed off because I tend to get a little too carried away with my announcement posters. ^_^ Glad it worked out for you, though.

I haven't seen Haruhi and I didn't have a problem comprehending either of those things

Well you guys are just fantastic, what can I say? Of course I DO give AMVers a heck of a lot more credit for comprehending weird AMVs than the average person. I should have qualified that statement a bit, I guess. I held back because there was so much to qualify it. hehe

Oh. Um...to set the record straight, this AMV took me a long time because at least 60% of the footage is the victim of masking, compositing or both. It might not be very obvious because a lot of times I didn't want it to be obvious (in fact, it's supposed to be undetectable in some instances), but that's the reason this was a 100-hour project rather than a 40-hour one.

^_^ I couldn't even find the original commercial. I found it once, about eight/nine months ago on the NCA Web site, but for some reason I can't find it again. (it bears no resemblance to Takeout - to me it almost sounds like they put together a custom, Hoe-down-type piece of music that's not actually Hoe-down. Plus, Mitchum wasn't in it.) It's rather sad - one of the most famous commercials in history and in this information age you can't even find it anywhere. Cue someone finding it to prove me wrong.

Glad you liked it! If you're going to get that fancy with an acronym, though, I think it would be tMoHS. It's not a bad series, I just don't personally think it's the greatest thing since sliced Bebop. I was going to make another AMV with it, but I've developed a great distaste for working with this footage so I don't think that's going to happen.

hehe, that sign was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I still found myself cursing the animators for going all crazy with speed lines, blurs, scale changes and suchlike. There are definitely drawbacks to making an AMV out of a series with high production values!
