new equipment and new/old amvs

Post by Jasta85 » Tue Oct 07, 2008 11:32 pm

i just got a new set of headphones, the kind that swallow half your head, filter out a lot of background sounds and make it seem like you have full 360 surround sound and i'm loving them. i can hear music MUCH more clearly and can also hear a lot of little sounds that i had missed in the past. i'm rewatching/listening to a lot of amvs to see how they sound with my new equipment.

obviously that's a plus, however new hardware can also be a bad things for amvs. my friend just got a new HD monitor and while it makes some stuff look awsome it doesnt help older amvs much as every flaw, fuzz and scratch shows up glaringly clear which makes them actually look a bit worse. good reason to stick to DVD rips in the future i guess.

anyone else had their amv experience affected by new hardware/software that they just purchased?

I've got the 'problem' with my spiffy new 24" monitor (running at 1920x1200 resolution). Makes things like AMVs and fansubs look a bit on the blurry side. But then I realize that my monitor is running 1920x1200, and I'm ok with a bit of blurriness on things like that. :D

What could a dual-screen set up possibly do to hinder watching AMVs? o.O

Ionno, maybe I misunderstood the question. I can't think of any negatives to a dual-screen setup, though. You should go get yourself another monitor.
... yea ...

What are you talking about, it's the awesomest thing ever to watch two AMVs at the same time :awesome:
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

What if I've never found two AMVs worth watching much less watching at the same time?
