A Tenchi trio (Tsunami, Washu, and Tokimi)...

There was only a hint of this relationship in the OAVs. You can see them grouped as background shadows in a scene with Dr. whatshisname (Gray?). That would be OAV ep 11 or 12.

I always prefer the cute type!!!!! Shinobu and Lum of course. Both have very strong maternal tendencys and both are super cute!

I'm not sure if this assasment is acurate or not, but of the trio of Shingi, Kensuke and Tougi, I think there might be the male euquivalents. Tougi=sexy, Kensuke=cute and Shingi = beautiful. You could also go with Kenshin: Kenshin = beautiful, Sano = sexy, Yohiko - cute. Any girls here could probably give you a more accurate decription though.

More often though, the male is only paired up, or left by themself. Not sure why, but in most series that's the way it is. Anyways, I think I prefer the "beautiful" girls most of all, followed by the cute ones. I really don't care for the sexy ones that much.

Since I'm a girl, I'll answer the which-do-you-relate-to question:

I think Saber Marionette J makes a good point - the three marionettes are all aspects of Lorelei, so there's a little bit of each personality in her. I think that's the reality of it - I can relate to each type at one time or another, so there's a little bit of each in me.

But as far as which types I love to see in anime, I like the cute type. Lime is awesome ^_^

Btw, for those who have played Fatal Frame (aka Project Zero) - what about the type of girl like Miku? Very serious, but dressed in a cute, almost schoolgirl-style outfit (as far as the kerchief goes) and knee-high black boots...
