Ya ya ya. I'm a newb.

I just wanted to get a few things clear here.

Can I post my videos on here as embedded or is this just a place to discuss AMVs?

this is a place to host AMVs. You know. For download, and stuff like that. No embedding. Disucssion is fine, though.

Also, there is a wordfilter on youtu<b></b>be please note this post. It is considered "disrespectful" to link us to videos on that site, without listing them here.

So can I post a link to my AMV and ask for opinions? Or is it strictly download and discuss?

links to streaming sites are disabled (from what I know), you can however upload the video file here or link to the video file and ask for opinions, we even have a handy opinion form that makes it easier to organize information...

if you would like to do opinion exchanges we even have a forum for that - however most people don't really go for people only asking for opinions, its polite to offer an opinion as well... though there is the occasional free opinion thread O.o if you are terminally lazy you can try to catch those when they are around, but be sure to read the first post in many of the exchange threads since some people have specific things they are looking for.
