Help with X-Remix Deinterlacing and Red Dot Crawl

did you follow the procedure set in the documentation for tcomb?

Well it says until the dotcrawl is gone, but I never got it to be gone...

It also says to stay between 4-8 to avoid artifacts...

but I tried like 20 and 70, and even 225.

Dot-Crawl was still present, and the artifacts created by the Tcomb were really bad.

Did you have to use
TIsophote, Deen, and vmtoon to make it less noticeable?

I used deen for another source, but it makes the video look un-natural.

But On your page the pics you posted look almost flawless... Maybe I'm doing something wrong...

I like TIsophote, antialiasing too.

I don't remember what tisophote was in there for, but the only thing that I used for the dot crawl was tcomb (deen is for compressibility and vmtoon was for line darkening and general sharpening)

can you upload a short sample (still interlaced)
then I can try working on it a bit

On second thought I'll just send the interlaced divx...

I'm sending a scene from episode 0 that I will probably use in my video, or at least some clips from it. there is alot of red dot crawl on lights, the dragons, and orange objects.

I can send you the ones I've been testing, but they were mainly from the openning which is not encoded the same as the show (Around 50-100% NTSC, I believe)

Did you try TComb both before and after IVTC and see if one worked better?

Unfortunately I couldn't really get rid of the dot crawl.
Before or after IVTC didn't matter

Are all dvds like this? (the 2 I've tried were...)

If this is the Remaster, it actually has problems?

I did notice everyone that has used this show (only 2-3 to my knowledge)
Had to use an assload of effects and give it that bleached out look...
Notice this in Ayumix: D a y b r e a k .

I just tried the un-remix and it is about the same, if not the same.

I guess that's why no-one uses this series for AMVs...lol.
