An Idea .. and suddenly everything falls apart ?

How do you guys feel if you had an Idea for a long time, start to edit on the project .... and then someone releases an amv with the exact same song and similar concept ?

Has it already happend to someone ? How'd you react ?

as for me... I have to say that Ideas unfortunately aren't reserved for just one person, and its quite troublesome/depressing to accept that.

If someone releases a video to a song I'm currently using, I just refrain from downloading the video and forget that it existed and still edit what I was working on.

Same goes for song/anime combos. I don't watch the video and if I happen to see it, bleach it out of my memory as JaddziaDax put it in another thread about this topic so you don't end up accidentally copying any content.

But just edit what you want. Odds are someone has already done that video idea somewhere.

Das Fettes Brot Album ist am 14. März 2008 releast worden und war für sehr lange Zeit hoch in den Charts. Alter...wenn du bis fucking Mitte September nich fertig bist mit nem 2:45min Song ist das dann n Wunder?
Besonders wenn man bedenkt das das der Song auf dem Album is der am meisten nach nem AMV schreit.

In general I agree with Scott. You just need to be more creative then. Or just faster and more determined. Also personally, I'm always glad when someone else better than me does my concept justice, and if someone who's worse doesn't then I can still set things right by doing my own project anyway.

Well, I had a number of cool concepts and was working on releasing them, but see here, this guy named Jay just comes along and freaking takes my idea and finishes it before I get to release mine. Then he steals all the bloody credit for those ideas. Seriously, that dude has some nerve to do that, he steals my ideas before I even get them |:

OK, I didn't know it was that popular... since I never listen to charts or watch tv. Guess you're right.. I can still set things right.
