Can't Download amvs

Post by Atreyu_NES » Thu Jul 17, 2008 7:27 pm

When I click on the Local link, it doesn't do anything. Did I exceed a limit or something? The page just refreshes and does nothing. I logged out, logged back in, cleared my cookies and still nothing. Any suggestions?

if you don't give star ratings to the vids you download you won't be able to download any more until you give the star ratings (happens when you let 10 pending star ratings accumulate)

You haven't given much to go on...

What video are you trying to download? Do you have the problem with other local videos? By "refreshes and does nothing", what do you mean? Refreshes the profile page? Refreshes a blank page?

I'm having the same problem, as well. It started just recently, not sure why. When ever I go to any video with the local download option and click on the link it takes me to a page which looks exactly the same. (I have tried of 40 different videos) The only difference I have noticed is the web address has the word "pancake" after the words "local Download" Example:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=153974

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=153974

Then no matter how many times I click the link it comes back to the same page.
There is no "proceed key" and I have downloaded quite a few already, and yes all of them have had the stars rated and none are pending.

I also have the techincal side working with my internet explorer and cookies collection.

Any Ideas?

Lol.

Scroll down on that page. There are three white buttons at the bottom with black text in them. Two say 'Pledge' and the third says 'Proceed.' Click Proceed and wait ~10 seconds for the download to start.
... yea ...

I meant what I said and said what I meant!

The page looks Identical to the previous page and the buttons are not there.
I have downloaded several AMVs already and do understand the process.

So, here's the steps that should work.

Click LOCAL:

You should see this page:

Now scroll down and click Proceed:

You are taken to a page that looks similar, sure, but it's not the same. It tells you the download should start automatically after 10 seconds:

The download dialogue should appear after that 10 seconds.

If it doesn't, check to see if you are getting this message:

(Last bit in next post...)

If you are in fact getting that message, click it and the click Download File...:

It should start downloading after that.

If not, you've got some screwy issues.

Enough of a step-by-step for you?
