Girly Action video? Why yes it is..<_<

Well, after watching Angelic Layer, I thought the song Game by Ayumi Hamasaki would fit it nicely.

What I didnt realize is that Angelic Layer is a slow type action...so as I worked on this vid, I thought some of the action sequences were a little slow to the music... so I tried my best to make it flow. I didnt want to use many effects in this video. I wanted to use the flow of the character movement themselves to synch to the music. I think to some aspect, I did manage, though, some might not flow perfectly.

I wanted to show Misaki's battle all the way from when her mother left her when she was little, to her getting her doll and joining the championships, finally meeting and battling with her mother. It's mostly an action video with a tiny story to it, if you watch closely. I tried to put every battle she had in this video, so I guess you could say this AMV sums up almost every battle in Angelic layer. Heh.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy.

I feel like this could have been a little better, but unsure how I could make it better... I hope it's still enjoyable anyway.

First of all, you WIN for using AL

Second, this vid is good times, not perfect.. few editing issues, but i dont care.

Really, the only parts that didn't settle with me were the string of zoom-ins that you did.. I don't know what it is about them.. maybe they move too fast and aren't overlayed enough, but really its just preference. Also, the fight sequence with Wizard just seemed to lull.. the music changes in that segment and it just seemed monotonous compared to the earlier action sequences.. possibly could've done something different in the action there.

=3 Thanks for your input. The battle with Wizard was one of the more important battles and I wanted it to have it's own glory before the last big chorus. That was the only place I could stick it. =/

Haven't seen one of these in a while.

Very nice. I agree with what Koop said (

). Those zooms seemed a little weird to me too.

But I had no problem with the fight with Wizard. It seemed to flow with the rest of the video to me and being one of Misaki's most important fights in the series it deserved to have an extended segment IMHO.

^_^ Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Hmm I see. I'll keep that in mind not to use too many zooms next time. XD Thanks for checking it out. =3 I think Game is a pretty complicated song itself, so I'm glad I managed to make the AMV enjoyable despite these few issues. =P Well, you know what they say, practice makes perfect. ^^

I remember Bakadeshi's Zetsumo when I watched this. It was a lot different than his, I know that for a fact. But I appreciated the differences.

I think you did an awesome job. Seriously, I've seen MAYBE one or two actual full length Angelic Layer videos that were any good. This tops those two easily. :O

However, it wasn't perfect. I think the editing was too slow for the song. I was always expecting something faster at times when the paced picked up. The zooms didn't bother me much, although I do agree with Krisqo and Koop on them.

What I liked the most was the portrayal of the actual plot of Angelic Layer, but in an interesting manner.

Also, you had the PERFECT ending segment.

Awesome work. I'm going to have to pull out the Angelic Layer DVD's and re-watch this series again this weekend.
