*Sniffle*... I knew the time was coming, but I just wasn't prepared yet. I don't think anyone can ever be prepared in these sistuations. Why did she have to die like this?! She was great... there was nothing she was ashamed to show me, she helped me with my schoolwork, heck, I would have never even came to know anime as I do today if it hadn't been for her... But I guess it was just time to move on.
She was the best monitor I've ever owned (and the 2nd). Stuck by me for 5 years, displaying anything I wanted in her fabulous RGB. Her features weren't all that incredible: 17", 1024x768 max res, 60hz refresh rate... even had some problems with the brightness suddenly changing to random levels where I couldn't even adjust it far enough to get it looking normal. But in 5 years, you tend to get attatched. It was such a violent death. She suddenly starts coughing as her screen flashed to and fro, zaps of what appeared to be electricity surging through her. Finally the heartbeat stopped, she blacked out, and all that could be heard was the buzz. The buzz of death.
CRT, RIP

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I have to admit though, you got me thinking about someone else at the beginning. Anyways, I can definitely relate to your situation.
And it came out of no where.
:flashback: I was just checking my e-mail, when my monitor was making funny noises, and the screen started to get fuzzy. And was all confused and turned her off. Few minutes later, I powered her back on, and the problems were worse. I then unplugged her, replugged her and tried her again. Well... complete silence. That was our relationship from then on.
