One problem with this whole discussion is that the idea of a concept is generally pretty stretchable and subjective, whereas execution is often narrowly defined in technical terms.
In other words, I for one like videos that defy both.

so long as you know what your audience wants, execution. concept is overrated. it can make for a great video though.

Execution
Good execution can save a poor idea as it makes a video that is fun to watch even if the idea is basic. Good concept without good execution however often falls flat and results in viewers thinking "Well I see what he was going for but it doesn't come out properly." At which point you are looking at unrealized potential.
