I wish I made a trailer... that's just not a fair category!

Well, just because a category is created (and made it through the initial culling of inappropriate categories by the staff) doesn't mean it will actually end up as an award- if there aren't enough videos for a given category (I believe there have to be four) that people nominate, the category doesn't make it through to the finals. Best Trailer is a category that has been present for a while now, so it's kind of a given that it will get created- even if there aren't four true trailers. Given their nature, I'm usually of the mind that trailers and opening parodies should be in the same category, but as the categories fall in Pro this year, they'd fall into different ones.

In fact, I'll go one better. I'd bet real money that this video marks Maboroshi Studios' triumphant return to iconoclasm.

I agree... there isn't enough competition to warrant that category. I do like the idea of the Shinki sp? category, but I think it should take any of those videos out of the main drama categories.

We only need two categories... drama and not drama. Makes things a whole lot simpler.

Only thing with shinkai vids... most of them are more under romance and sentimental than drama when you think about it. So most of them aren't cluttering up drama but all the other psudo-drama categories. But there's more of those vids than for many of the categories people have made up.

I'm just wondering what the schedule for nominations are this year. Mostly I want to know how much longer I have to watch the disks and nominate categories/vids.

I haven't been able to browse the contest yet (most likely will tomorrow) and want to make sure I haven't missed a step I want to participate in.
