Yaoicon AMV Contest Deadline Extended

Friendly notice to all entering the Yaoicon AMV Contest

The Deadline for entries is being extended till September 5th; turns out the early deadline I think messed with entries and so I'm giving you all a little more time to work on your videos. This was unfortunate due to the con being a month earlier but if you need this extention please tell me and you're welcome to it.

The site should be updated soon to reflect this.

All AMVs must be recieved by this point.

Yeah! I needed more time, as did lots of other people (per my LJ's reaction of panic).

I kind of figured this was why the number of entries was fewer this year up till now.

Please pass the word along btw in case the website doesn't get updtated to reflect this.

Also you'll have to forgive me if I appear really stressed at the con. The other trouble with the con being much earlier is that it puts it one week after AWA. So I go to Atlanta, come back for three days then go up to Frisco. I would have liked to make the deadline closer but it's just not possible since I need time to judge and compile everything. So I'm probably asking for a whole lot of stress in order to get the videos together in time.

Rest assured though that this deadline is a drop dead date, under no circumstance can I afford to accept a video after that date due to time constraints.

Well this is a relief at least; I was getting concerned that no one would use the extended deadline. Now it looks like we will have our standard number of entries again.

Hey Wired...will there be a list of the finalists posted before the con?

I wish I could go---next year my best friend and I are there for sure!

I'll try but sadly due to a number of family issues and AWA being one week before Yaoicon a finalist list will be REALLY close to the con if I get it done on time. I might still be working on it while getting there due to the last few months being really stresssfull.
