Hi, noob here.
I don't know if anyone ever did this but if they did please let me know, or answer this question for me.
I am having a lot of trouble in importing video in my premiere pro 7. Everytime i wanted to import an AVI file, it did this:
<a href="http://s195.photobucket.com/albums/z313 ... rouble.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z313 ... rouble.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
I don't know why it did this, but please! please! please! PLEASE!! HELP ME!!
I did try changing the format into mpg which did worked and i was able to transfer a video into premiere, BUT, the timing and the audio is way off!! It played normally and work just fine when played in a player but once it's transferred in the timeline it just screwed up.
Please help me! All i wanted is just to be able to import it into premiere and edit it there. I'm not trying to make profit or win a competition, it's just a hobby. I'm really desperate here so can someone please help me out! Thank you.

FYI there is no Premeire pro 7, that's the name giving to the pirate version of Premiere pro 1.5 :\
I happen to be using premiere pro 1.5 myself and it has a god aweful time importing/editing with several formats.
But.
I'd suggest lossless .avi files or using .avs or vfapi files to edit with
for the first 2 Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a> for the third there's a new version of the guide out and the amvapp which includes vfapi's.
eeh I suppose there's always the bait an switch with mjpegs, but whateve floats your boat.
whichever way you pick mirk is correct about the file types you were using, and that should include .mkv .mp4 and .wmv containers in the "do not edit with" list
new banzors in the making :p
