step 1: open the program
step 2: put kero.animemusicvideos.org into the host field
step 3: carefully type your username that was given to you on the upload video page into the username field (no ctrl+c here, as it may not copy your username correctly)
step 4: carefully type your password that was given to you on the upload video page into the password field (no ctrl+c here, same deal as above)
step 5: Ignore the fact that this takes more than 5 steps
step 6: browse to your file in the local site window
step 7: drag and drop that file into the remote site window
step 8: ???
step 9: profit!

This would be mega helpful if I knew what buttons and stuff to do. Maybe my filezills just really funky? I mean, I always have to delete and reinstall it and stuff whenever I attempt to upload it because it wont lwt me connect. Or am I seriously that stupid?

I'm a lost cause, aren't I....?

did I forget to say click quick connect? (if so, add that as step 5.5)
that and the disconnect are really the only buttons you should need to use.

if you have a firewall of any type I'd turn it off for the upload process

can you post a screenshot of the error you're getting?

Let me show you how far I can get before I'm like "WTF NOW?! D:" Because the more I look at these instructions, the more I fear taking a screenie of me doing something incredibally foolish.

First, I install it
>_>

I open it up. (Am I supposed to be putting the ftp server thing here? o__o )
<__>

filezilla is now open
<__<

I go to this thing to request upload
[Kalium: Redacted.]

okay...
this screenie is from the 'amv org guide' it says to take the ftp server and put in the url box thing
x__x

o__o
but when I do, it says something like "Not the site you expected?" or something like that. Am I doing something wrong here? Did I MISS something?

That's the wrong version of filezilla you're downloading... that's Filezilla server edition, you need to install filezilla ftp client... get it here.
After installing that, you'll be able to easily follow Kariudo's guide.

Yes. For starters, you want the FileZilla client. Here. I think you grabbed the server, which I suggest you uninstall.

A quick question (you never know), in case that would be a final answer to my inability to connect to Kero.AnimeMusicVideos.org, be it through filezilla, internet explorer or anything else (firewall disabled or not). Is it possible there are IP ranges banned from accessing the server?

I'm asking because I can't even *ping* the server in command line. I get an "unable to connect to destination", even though the name is resolved into what looks like a valid IP address. The only thing I can think of is that my IP is in a range that's banned for some reason. If anyone is interested, I'll be glad to paste here the results of a ping (it'd be in French, though).

Again, sorry to be a bother with this. I'm trying to understand what's wrong, but I can't seem to make sense of the problem's nature. And quite frankly, I'd like to be able to upload the AMV in correct quality here, instead of having to rely on rather (in)famous sites which don't look nice to me.

Thanks for your help and your time *bow*

If you use firefox your in luck.

Search for "FireFTP" in google and it should solve this problem.

I had the same problem and l even used file zilla.

When it gives you the upload link Right click > FireFTP and it will open up a link.

The wierd thing is it doesnt ask for a username or pass so you just drag and drop in.

It works ;/.
