Disfunctional Video

Okay, so when ever I play a video with the dimensions of some what over 800x400 I get this block of purple dotted lines in the video on the right side, but if I happen to put the file in VirtualDub(Mod) it looks normal and doesn't have that thing on the right side of it. Do you guys have any suggestions about how I go about fixing this problem?

what's the exact resolution? It's probably caused by the dimensions not being mod16.

848x480 and 884x400

What player are using? Because I always play 848x480 and have nothing wrong with it.

I am using KMPlayer and VLC Player, it shows up in both players.

Does it really matter? Because the same problem shows up in VLC not just KMP so its not the player(s).

what type of file(codec type) is the vid encoded with? are your codecs up to date?
