New AMV: Final Fantasy 12 - Dreams Inside

My latest Final Fantasy AMV, Made with the Kutless song "More Than It Seems" from the Chronicles of Narnia Inspired By album, is a character profile of Vaan, portraying his wonder and excitement at the sudden turn of events which thrusts him from ordinary life into greatness, and gives him a role in shaping the future of his world. Throughout the video, the chorus's references to "dreams inside" are used to show his dreams of flying airships and being a sky pirate and his latent love for Penelo, while the line "I am capable of more than it seems" portrays him becoming something more than he dreamed and becoming the hero that helps save Dalmasca.

For this video, the first I've made since upgrading from Vegas 6.0 to 8.0, I made heavier use of digital effects than usual and employed a more fluid editing style, using mainly smooth crossfades instead of cuts, which I think fit the feel of the song very well. I also made heavy use of overlays, which I think greatly compliment the feel of wonderment the video is meant to convey.

Any comments, opinions, and suggestions for improvement would be welcome, as I would like to submit it to some contests later in the year. Thanks and enjoy!

Even though I never played FFXII I thought that was really good. Now, I don't consider myself a pro amv maker, I've been making them for a number of years now, I just haven't been active on "the org" since my amv's never get praise here XD. I tend to stick to smaller communities.

Well, anyway...I thought it was pretty good. The beginning presentation was well executed I believe as well. Although, I feel that the amv could of used a bit more. I mean, the mood of the song and the amv went great together, but I found watching it to be relatively boring. Nothing special happened to really keep me interested. I'm not trying to flame you or anything, this is just my honest opinion. I'm also one of those people who like, loud, energetic amv's, so that could be the reason in which I feel that way.

Also, you should post a stream link to your amv (like youtube and etc.) because a lot of people (like myself) don't watch others amv's because we got to download them XD

Still, good work 7/10

Hey thanks for your comments. Don't worry, I appreciate constructive criticism. In the past I've actually used a much more active action packed style, but I thought a calmer more sentimental mood went better with this song.

O okay good, you took this in a good way XD. I guess it's nice to talk a slower, calmer pace after doing so many active amv's. I did it at one time too XD
