Spoiler :
the biggest problem i saw was: how did batman and rachel fall 10+ stories from a glass building, land on a taxicab (completely demolishing the roof) and walk away without a scratch, let alone a broken bone? meanwhile, when batman falls 30 feet off a dock, he can barely get up?

my sister and i were talking about whether harvey was dead. i thought he was dead, but she said he could have survived and the gotham police force were falsely announcing his death to avoid investigation into his evil doings.

the whole privacy rights vs. anti-terrorism surveillance thing cut into today's politics. it wasn't really necessary though, and unfortunately, it didn't really handle the issue well. it was like, okay just for this one special time its okay, but otherwise its really really bad. really.
but yeah, awesome movie. one of very few movies i would considering paying to see twice at the theater. the acting was good, esp. heath ledger, but there just wasn't enough of it (or at least i just wanted more). there may have been too many action sequences or too long of action sequences. christian bale was always behind the mask with jowls that seemed too large for him. gordon was pretty good. dent was kinda cheesy at times. but heath ledger in nurse garb took the cake.

the storyline was kinda straightforward the first half, but got much better second half. special effects were really good too. didn't really notice the score, except one part where they have the traditional suspense-climax music (violins going nee-nee-nee-nee-nee-nee), but it must have blended into the movie really well otherwise.

I noticed this too. I had just watched Wanted earlier in the week, which had a terrific score, imo, and I noticed that the most intense scenes from Dark Knight didn't feature music at all. I liked it a lot personally...hearing the unadulterated sound of engines during the car chases instead of high tension music made it all the more fun and suspenseful.

That's okay. You can't grasp the basic idea of a dick you aesthetic puts.

Saw the movie today. Loved it. They managed to cover a lot of ground in just one movie, although I do feel like the character who got sidelined a bit was the Bat himself. But the entire first movie was pretty much about him, so whatever...

For those of us who have seen the anime Monster... doesn't the Joker kinda remind you of Johan? Not personality-wise, but I think their desires and motivations are a bit similar.

We actually don't know that he died. In fact, I'm fairly sure he's not and in Arkham. Batman survived the fall (even got up just fine) and it wasn't that far of a drop. I imagine Harvey survived as well and it's being covered up. Comic book characters never die.
Spoiler :
Yea, i think i remember seeing him breathing at the end... so i'm pretty sure he's alive still...

Spoiler :
All is easily resolved in the next movie with a continuation scene of Harvey being moved to Arkham... and then maybe watching his own funeral on TV. I was hoping that they would do something like this in a post credit Easter egg in this movie... but whatever.
I'm not rich... I just plan on dying before I retire.
