Problems with Adobe Premier CS3

Post by WhiteGryphon » Sat Jul 12, 2008 11:38 am

Heya I'm trying to make an amv using Adobe Premier CS3. The stupid thing would freeze when I'd export the video (with some sort of videoframe.dll and stackhash_3d6d errors recorded) The video files I was using for my amv are around 500mb each and in WMV9 format. (also some leetraws xvid ones) I'm using a new computer with Windows Vista. I've tried everything including installing CCCP and then when that didn't work uninstalling it and installed the Klite full back. Now the video does not even load, it starts to load then gets stuck right before the bar finishes. What the heck is wrong with this thing? When installing codec packs it states adobe's codec files in the registry are missing. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for the help!

Convert your source to an editable codec.

is the WMV9 not an editable codec? The issue now is the project itself won't even load anymore

Nope, that's a distribution codec.

Here.

so pretty much any codec that most raws are encoded in cannot be used...

err...still doesn't solve the problem that the actual saved project file stops loading when the bar's almost full...

Exactly, since the raws are encoded for distribution and not editing. That's why you use AviSynth + VirtualDubMod to transcode the files to an editable codec if you absolutely have to use d/l footage. The best idea is always buying the DVD's though.
