but won't Nintendo's offering of Rare as a holy sacrafice of good will to that which we call Bill Gates have a lasting impact on the xbox... perhaps we will see the kong and even perfect dark on the xbox within time...

well I feel ps2 is the best easy, but I have been wanting to get xbox or gamecube for sometime and I've waited so long they both got alot cheaper, but I still don't know which @_@

Here's my view on the two.

Xbox:
Cost more 199.99
More powerful
Huge company behind it (in capital)
Buying up strong gaming companies
Comes with 8 gig Hard drive (or was it 6 I forget)
Comes with broadband modem
Comes with JGR:F and Sega GT
Plays DVDs (with remote $30?)
PC gaming companys will work with it, since its practically a PC
Gets no love in Japan
Looks cool

Games out I'd want:
Halo, Dead or alive 3, Jet Grind Radio (comes with), Shenmue 2, GunValk (maybe), MGS:Substance (maybe)
Games coming out:
DOA Volleyball, DOA 4, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Best version of Soul Cailbur 2, Ninja Gaiden, PSO I&II, Halo 2 (far away sniff)

Gamecube:
Cost 149.99
Slightly cheaper, but.....
Strong gaming company behind it, and all your fav. chars.
Strong reputation gaming companies will go to.
Small, light and portable
Have to buy Memory cards, which are used up quickly. ($20?)
Have to get modem if I want to go online ($40?)
Works with GBA (but then I'd need that too $70?)
Looks cute

Smash Bros. Melee, Resident Evil, Resident Evil: 0, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Pikmin (maybe), Starfox (maybe), and Mario Sunshine (maybe), PSO I&II

Skies of Arcadia<sniff> I loved that game Bill Gates needs get off his bum and buy it... at least I have you 'Mue 2, Jet Grind was awesome but it's kinda started a wave of really bad cel-shaded games, and I dont know if it was just me but the soundtrack got repetitve, at least the first one did, Rage against the Machine plays well with it, And I liked the tagging system in the first one more of a challenge if you ask me....

And let us not forget Xbox's Add your own soundtrack feature, of course this is easily remedied by the whole mute tv/ turn on stereo function available at most locations but it's fun to organize 300+ songs... or is that just me...
