Rollo killed Shirley. Oh god now the hate of him returns! And it's such a tragic death too!
Other interesting moments include...
Spoiler :
- Sayoko is truly a ninja maid, and the new OP scene proves she's an Otome as well!
- Cornelia wasted no time throwing a dagger at V.V. Of course she found out that he's immortal.
- Lelouch actually got Orange on HIS SIDE?!! Supposedly he was there at the scene of Lelouch's mother's assassination in which he felt guilty of not protecting her.
The new OP and ED songs are alright though the OP sequence did show some intriguing scenes like Lancelot and Guren getting wings! The ED sequence has more sexy CLAMP artwork with their usual motifs. Man, it seems like fun time is over from this point on.
How could they kill Shirley?! I was almost crying. I had to hold back the tears.
Anyway
Spoiler :
Now Orange-kun is on Lelouch's side and I thought I seen it all.
Sayoko gives ninjas a good name XD
And we continue with Suzaku's struggle to continue not being friends with Lelouch anymore.
Besides that, new opening and ending.
I have to say I prefer "O2", but I still like the new opening
Life is filled with good memories and bad ones, but memories are what you make of them.

I *was* crying. >_>
Really... until something may come and clear his name (you may never know what really happened, it's sunrise after all :D), I hate him.
I never liked Shirley. Her contributions to the anime were slim at best for me.
In my opinion, this is the best way that she could leave.
It was, after all, a beautiful death.
That was just a massive series of twists in a series that's already shamelessly twisty to begin with. I honestly don't know who Lelouch can actually trust anymore.
But wow, here I thought Lelouch's scheming would initiate an un-rolling of Rollo's character later on in the series. Naive, that
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
I'm on the sad side of this. While Shirley has been somewhat prone to this series' tendency to use every side character as a plot device here or there, she was certainly one of the most sympathetic and better-developed characters. I felt sorry for her in the first season, and thought it was too bad they pushed her off the plot map with the geass mid-season; and I felt even more sorry for her this time. While she remained a hopelessly naive airhead to the end, she totally did not deserve this
Certainly ranks up there with Euphie's demise at the end of R1, but while Euphie's end was more of a shocker, I'm a lot more sad for Shirley. Unlike Euphie, she had no fault in anything and her naivete only ever hurt one person: herself.
I wonder if Lelouch will go on a rampage now to match Suzaku's reaction to Euphie's death. If this ends up being blamed on Suzaku, which I can totally see Lelouch doing (seeing how he saw her with him last), oh boy!

Well it all makes sense from a plotline standpoint. Now both Suzaku and Lelouch have lost the woman closest to them. I think Lelouch is going to turn the tables on Suzaku and blame him for her death whereas before it was the other way around. The role reversal should be interesting. Now to see if this leads to them becoming friends once again and exposing the hidden truths between them or if one of them is driven to kill the other. (I'm hoping for the former, but experience tells me it will be the latter.) *crosses fingers*
