AWA14 Pro - closed - Judging discs in early Aug
Procrastinators beware! One week left to the AWA14 Professional Contest deadline (July 18, 2008). In case you've been living under a rock and are unaware of what this contest is about visit http://www.awa-con.com/index.php?page=86#pro for contest details and rules. If you're lazy here's a refresher:
-Neither the staff nor the audience choose the winners but YOU, the participant, do (assuming you send us something, *hinthint*)
-Blind judging for that extra added bit of suspense. NOTE: If you want to send us an already premiered video, have at it! We ask that you send us a bumperless version but it is not a requirement that your hand in the video's creation be an absolute secret. That's reserved for the Masters contest...
-And did we mention you can send in not just one but TWO videos?!?!?!
And the absolute best part, brand spanking new this year is the option to digitally download the judging DVDs. Keep in mind that we're talking about upwards of 12gigs of data if we fill all three judging discs, but that's better than you penny pinchers who sent in blank media scotch taped between two pieces of cardboard and mailed media rate (you know who you are...). If you plan to go the download route, please make sure to submit your paperwork (scan or picture of the signed forms) either by ftp along with your video or emailed to me at vattechnical@gmail.com. For anyone who chooses, the physical disc submission option is still available as always.
Either way, please make sure your video is registered through the submissions site at www.awa-vat.org. While you're there drop off an Expo or SAST video (or two, or more) as well.

If there are enough live-action entries than yeah they typically do. Like, last year there were 2 live-action videos and 1 video game video. So the category was Best Non-Anime Video. The Wired Knight wrote:Well I've got one video ready to go, if the second one isn't ready in time I'll probably just send it on over to Expo.
BTW: I forgot, does Pro typically have a best "live action" award or no?
