Problem with different versions or codes?

Post by Zwill » Sun Jun 22, 2008 10:29 pm

I dont know if this is the right spot to post this but here it goes (Pictures at the end).

Problem:

I have a labtop and a desktop which both have the AmvApp and should both be up to date because they both have backup avisyn plugin folders from each AmvApp.

Making files:

I import my .Vobs into DGI and turn them into .d2v. (Labtop and PC)

Creates a .avs document only for Labtop and l have to manually do it for PC but errors.

While on the labtop, l can import the script made in my Virtual dub and it works but when l try it from my desktop it errors and either says "Obsolete" or "Unknown file or typo".

This is all on my External HD and when l load it on labtop its G: [Filepath] and PC its M: [Filepath]

I changed it to fit pc and still nothing.

PC:

Why does one have more files then the other one? I even had to make the "template" for the Pc because it didn't have it.

try editing your d2v files on your desktop.

the first few lines should be the paths to the vobs that you indexed. If you change those paths from G: to M: it should work (I've used that same method to shuttle projects between my laptop and desktop in the past)

you can either do that each time you switch between desktop and laptop or save the edited .d2v files with a slightly different name.

Could l make it work any other way besides shuffling Pc/Labtop. I mean, couldnt l just move the files l'm missing over and hope it works or what files am l missing that l should have for pc?

Thanks for the help so far.

I got it to work by unistalling and installing like 2 times ;].
