for me to like a video i must be entertained, that can be with or without clothes too.
Some things done poorly affect the enertainment factor, but it varies from vid to vid.
eg a comedy vid may have poor flow but can still be very funny or an action vid may have screwed up technically but be amazingly edited and still get the heart pumping or this whole thread could be a trap.
new banzors in the making :p

If the song sounds good to you, you're only half-way there. Make the effort to know what the lyrics translate to, and match your video to THAT. A fast-paced track does not automatically guarantee you can use it in your "Naruto fights <OpponentNameHere>" video...especially if the song happens to be about something completely UNRELATED to fighting.
I hate it when editors do this to Japanese songs.... I speak Japanese! And I very well know most editors picked to use certain songs just because it sounds "pretty"... annoys the shit out of me.

I hate it when an amv falls flat on mood sync. If an amv have everything, but that it fails in my eyes.

I also hate when people takes songs too literally.

Which would go a long way towards explaining why your videos are the opposite of what almost anyone would consider as 'good'.

Well, there are quite a few people that share my Taste (unbelievable, but it's really like that). I wouldn't change my editing style just because a majority of people seem to dislike it, imo it's just another trend that's going around on the org, soon you'll all be watching for different aspects in amv's again

Afterall I'm doing Videos for my personal enjoyement and not for a bunch of elitist dumbasses full of theirselves.

For me its visibility. If I can't tell what's going on or if I feel that the anime footage is being disregarded/stomped on/covered then I'll watch it through once to make my quota usage worthit (while feeling kinda irratative) and never again. Flow is the next big thing for me.

1. Fuck up the flow then I am done....within a second lol

2. Glitchy/Jittery footage. Nuuuu

3. WAY too many run on scenes...I may watch the whole video to see if any change took place but most of the time I stop if it is bad enough.

4. Sometimes seeing the same boring editing style I see in most action vids will kill me over (trying to hit every damn beat as oppose to hitting the important ones in a unique way?)...so I stop in the middle.

I think that is it...as long as I can see your vid...vid quality doesn't matter too much...lol

If you're doing it for yourself then you're doing it for an elitist dumbass who's full of himself.

Shit music.

Listen, you might as well get over it, some of us think "rap music" is an oxymoron. The moment I realize your amv is done to a rap artist I have never heard of before (that will be all of them by the way), your amv is deleted.

Anti social metal (that's anything loud and lousy sounding which describes most of it). And it certainly describes anything with the word FUCK screamed repeatedly. Hey get over it, most good anime doesn't match up well with anti social heavy metal.

I couldn't care less what you established editing skills are, I will rate anything from the above with a 1. I hate the shit music.

I'll watch a poorly sourced, subtitled, amateurish creation long before I'll watch something I consider noise polution.
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.
