my first thought was also Sasshi and Arumi from Abenobashi (because they do seem to have that innocent growing up together sort of relationship from the countryside)

Later I thought about Eyesheild 21 though and I think that could work really well with a mamori/hiruma or mamori/sena video.

I haven't actually seen it yet, but maybe check out "5 Centimeters per Second"? Seems like the flow of the movie fits the "story" of the song...
