Can I create video FX in Vegas 7?

Question says it all. The reason is that one of my favorite AMV creator nicknamed SaiyanPride does AMV's with Vegas, but he uses FX that I have never seen before in Vegas. Also he says that he created them, so I was wondering how to create some. Also please tell how can I create them please.

Just edit the settings of an effect and/or mix them instead of using presets O.o

"these effects" is a very vague term, either you have to be more specific about the effect you want to make or you aren't going to get many good answers...

also when you see an effect that you want to do as well, try to imagine how you can build it yourself... it helps if you know your video program inside and out.

Saiyanpride masks out a lot of shapes and stuff in past videos liek with ready steady go vid and stuff.. My guess is he uses a lot of pan/crop.
