Hmm? I didn't mean it like that. If something cannot be categorized because it does not fit into any categories already existing (not because you can't decide which one to put it in). IN other words it isn't like anything already done so it goes in "other".

To me, an original AMV is an vid that has a song/anime that I have never seen/heard before.

I believe originality in AMVs only exists when a source/source combo hasn't been used before. I don't believe it exists in the conception of AMVs since the general concepts of AMVs, IMO, is to reinforce the idea/concept of one source with the other source. The only way I can think of an original concept of an AMV is when neither of the sources' idea/concept doesn't reinforce the other. Or something like that, anyways.
