I'm trying to make an AMV using an XviD MPEG-4 because it focuses on the season finale, which was only shown a few nights ago. The series isn't yet out on DVD.
I'm following the tutorial on here, which explains how to tell whether a file is interlaced if it's a rip from a DVD. I can't find a way to know whether my footage is interlaced or not, though, or--if it is--what sort of interlacing it is. For that reason (as far as I can see) I can't progress any further through the tutorial.
Can anyone please tell me how to work out:
1. whether my footage is interlace, and
2. if it is, what sort of interlacing is present?
Many thanks for any help.

If you downloaded it, the chance that it's interlaced is almost nil. If it were interlaced, you'd be able to tell right away - you'd have lines everywhere.
