I saw them live the day you posted this topic
That's cool, I saw them at the Chicago Powerfest, they were extremely good live. And Borknager is a great band as well:)

I saw them live the day you posted this topic.

Anyway, my most recent CD purchases are
Borknagar - Epic
Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors

Both really cool stuff. Progressive Metal by bands that started out Black metal (there's almost a subgenre for that, thinking of it).
Akercocke does a good job at mixing the two together...

Awesome Melodic Death Metal Band from Germany I've found on myspace. If yer into music like this you should give this band a try.

Nine Inch Nails - The Slip
(Obviously didn't buy it, but it was the most recent of my procurements. Insanely good in its own right, so being free is just a bonus.)

The Protomen
(self-titled album, insanely good)

Hayley Westenra - Odyssey

Tarja Turunen - My Winter Storm

Oomph! - GlaubeLiebeTod

Dir En Grey - Withering To Death

I just picked up 3 Doors Down new self-titled album. I have to say it's a pretty good showing since I was picking it up for one song and end up actually liking the entire album.
