This thread is a place holder just to let people know that I have not forgotten to do this just because I was at ACen. However, I just got home, and I am very tired. Therefore, I will do the post on Monday instead of Sunday this week.

OK, here we go...

MaachaQ - Why? - A Salute to Anime Men
(Also known as "Hair")
Vintage: 2001
Anime: Various
Music: James Rado & Gerome Ragni - Hair

For me, this video was highly anticipated due to the editor putting a beta up on the org before the video was done. While this sort of activity is not allowed anymore, back then it wasn't as much of a problem. I downloaded the incomplete video, watched it, and loved it. I would check the video entry every week in anticipation of it coming out. (Which it did, eventually!

)

Anyway, this video is an early example of various anime done right. Entertaining and funny throughout, with plenty of silly lyric synch puns, plus the gloriously hairy (Or sometimes not-so-hairy) men of anime! (And don't worry, guys, it's not yaoi!)

I remember when I saw this for the first time. Had that dang song stuck in my head for over a week.
