An AMV that has stolen from another!

I'd like to inform everyone that the AMV Gundam Destruct, http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=12199 , by Akirahz http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... r_id=25561 , is a blatant rip. There is another AMV I have to 08th MS Team, with music from Nightwish called 10th Man Down. Unfortunately this AMV is not on this site and the site I downloaded it from escapes me right now, and the link was never saved. This person claims their work "Brilliant" when all they did was rip video from the Nightwish vid and put it to different music.

I think that this would be better suited in the General AMV forum, as I can't really find any connection for it to be here.

In any case...

The video you're referring to is SHELLSHOCK by Rubyeye, his main site being here, though SHELLSHOCK is currently unavailable for download. Though I don't doubt what you're saying, it seems pretty stupid for someone to have stolen its footage, seeing as it's been shown at a bunch of conventions and is currently in the Top 10% Videos here (=29th at time of writing).

w3rd but as in <a href=http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 10942>this case</a>, blatantly useing the same clips (with effects still in) is NOT cool... use SOMEBODY ELSES video that doesn't have those effects ;-p

the first showed remorse though sos alls good... btw use someone elses cus it doesn't have the effects (your taking it from a movie anyway...). Plain and simple.... and calling yourself Kavorkian isn't the best but... well... different strokes for difrent folks... (both are d/l able...)

I think that it is okay if you see a clip on another video that would be useful to you but I really would not condon the use of one with effects applied. When the effects are added to the seen it becomes an original peice.

I missed up like that on one of my own videos, "anime way of life". If you watch it there is a part of Trigun that has a young vash being but in an excape pod. I took it from JasterM5 "In The End". It was a year since I have seen Trigun and thought the seen was orignally like that. Than I saw it again over the summer and found out that it was a custom transparency, boy was I Embarrassed

. Good thing it is only one seen, beacuase it is the only one that I took, so I 'am keeping it posted.

I am learning ripping and I have a soft ware that converts real media into avi. I will not have that mistake happen again.

10th man down is one of my fav vids since i love gundam 08th ms team...that really ticks me off....so its a blantant rip....man thats sad
